I think the parents just really want their kids to fit in and are willing to let them wear whatever just to be cool. Ever watch South Park? The episode about Paris Hilton and her clothing store has a lot to do with this. What I also **** is all those little girls shopping at abercrombie, I understand that store is made for them but those shorts and stuff are really short. I get so mad b/c I can still easily fit into their clothes as an adult and I don't want to spend the full A&F price. You literally see parents with $500-$1000 worth of clothing for a kid that will probably grow out of it in 6 months I know it’s absolutely disgusting. When I was a teen I just bought stuff by myself that I knew my parents wouldn't let me wear. Then I'd just put a sweater or something over it until I left the house. If they ever asked about a clothing item I would just say I'd had it for a while and they never had a problem with it before. Now, if you are talking about young children, I totally agree with you. I was recently at a party for a one-year-old and some of the clothes she got for gifts I would never let my daughter wear. She got holter tops and little booty shorts that barely cover anything. All anyone could say was how cute they were. I **** all the little **** skirts and shorts they have for infant girls these days. I buy my daughter's shorts in the boy's section. They cover much more skin and they are usually more neutral colors so they match her tops better. Sometimes she gets mistaken for a boy, but she is only 2 so she doesn't notice or care.
