How would I start an online clothing retail site?

    Sorry to be a damper, but that sounds like a tough competitive area. Narrowing down the focus with a specialty shop like: rave ware, puppy sweaters, natural hemp fashion. Would reduce the competition and improve chance of seeing light in the search engine listing.

    If it’s all new to you it might be best to test the waters by marketing through an established entity that can attract traffic, like eBay or if a bigger, Amazon?

    eBay alone would give you a good feel for order processing, shipping supplier headaches. Better to stumble while near the ground.

    Some operators coordinate their eBay store with an independently operated store as they grow.

    Use a site like sobonow.com to create a store and see if it does well before creating your own website.
