I want a way to let go of my kids outgrown clothing and toys, and easily get “new” items for them that will fit. I have heard of Clothing Swaps but it seems most are “donation” style, I’d like to have one with my local moms group though where we never exchange money, but we can get back our unswapped items (so we can consign or whatever if we’d like) but also keep it fair for items we are swapping in/out.

Does anyone have any tried and true suggestions please.

I was thinking
1 “chip” for each item brought in to swap, maybe even doing 2 “chips” for namebrand items (i.e. gymboree, gap etc). Then you can “shop” the rest of the items there and you “pay” with your chips (1 for regular items, 2 for namebrand).

Has anyone done something like this and if so how and what did or did not work for you/your group. Were you satisfied with it in the end. What would you have changed if you could. Thanks so much !

Sorry It’s hard to explain, like once you are the largest kid size which is XL right do you go right to adult small, or a larger adult size.

I’m just curious because I haven’t worn kids sizes in years and I notice some shirts in the adults section are really tiny. Is that to keep small adults from fealing bad about themselves and thus having to shop in the kids section?

I’ve tried Ebay.. I just don’t feel like I have the time to ship items out and since they raised their selling fees I dont make much money of of the items themselves, I feel like alot of clothing I have are too high quality for yard sale prices. Is there another alternative?

I’m looking to buy some Gymboree outfits for my 6yr old wee girl, shes of normal size (not slender nor chubby) but I don’t want to have to return any items.
I was told that you should buy the next size up when buying from the USA, but surely if it says for a 6yr old it shouldn’t make a difference which country they’re from or does it?
