Ayurvedic Herbs and Medicine

Certain Ayurvedic herbs are commonly used to help those with conditions including diabetes and high cholesterol. Herbs such as Ginkgo biloba (ginkgo) and Ginseng continue to increase in popularity because of their helpful effects. Some treatments such as herbal remedies and natural cures for yeast infections have been used for thousands of years and are perhaps among the more widely used of the alternative treatments. Acupuncture, oiriginating in china has also been used for thousands of years and is becoming increasingly incorporated into conventional medicine practises. Herbs and vitamins will bring your body back into its own rhythm so you can function better. Herbs, drugs, tonics, etc.

Many herbs have been used for a long time for claimed health benefits. They are sold as tablets, capsules, powders, teas, extracts and fresh or dried plants. Herbs obviously can — and often do — have medicinal benefits. If the active ingredients are known I think it is much safer to give them in a form in which the dose is controlled. The Chinese herbs (with or without acupuncture) are used to treat patterns identified through a Chinese examination. In most cases, Chinese herbs and acupuncture for natural cures for yeast infections can be used at the same time that Western or conventional medications are used.

Probably the area where the preventative nature of alternative medicine has been studied the most is in the area of herbal medicine. A very recent study published in the Journal of Nutrition showed the use of green tea in preventing Rheumatoid arthritis. Cleanses, homeopathy, herbal medicine, lifestyle counseling, vitamins, and body work are all used to create an individualized, safe treatment plan to enhance the body’s capacity to heal itself. About 900 of such illnesses and 44 deaths involve people taking herbal products that contain Ephedrine like stimulants. Other possible culprits range from diet teas which induced miscarriage to hormones such as DHEA. Consult your doctor before trying to self diagnose or treat yourself.
