Well, over the summer there was a chance discovery by a New York citizen who happened to be walking along the shores near Montauk. In the sand was found the dead body of an unknown animal.

Quickly pictures were snapped and before long they found their way all over the net. Everywhere one looked they could find pictures of the Monster of Montauk.

Many people speculated: ‘What could it be?’ they asked. Some thought maybe it was an ancient sea turtle who’d lost it’s shell. Others thought it was the body of a raccoon.

Still others speculated that maybe it was a dog that had met misfortune on the sea shore or maybe, a giant rat or even more giant mouse.

Experts have concluded that it couldn’t really be any of the aforementioned types of animals. There are a number of reasons, for instance, a turtle without it’s shell would have a broken back and a dog doesn’t have those kinda feet.

So on and so forth the people have hemmed and hawed about whatever it could be. One person even went so far as to say it was the body of a sheep. A sheep? Come on now, for one thing, sheep don’t have teeth like that and where’s all the wool?

Others also simply believe someone got a little too creative in the art department and it’s simply nothing more than, well, nothing.

Drinking the juice from the grapefruit led to only slightly less weight loss. A few of the participants lost an astounding 10 pounds. The doctor who conducted the study found that the grapefruit diet seems to reduce levels of insulin. But the study didn’t limit people to just diet, they also exercised more which may have resulted in the weight loss.

Here are the rules for the grapefruit diet:

- Eight 8 ounce glasses of water each day, this is a must.
- Eat until full.
- Eat everything listed for each meal, do not skip foods, they are specifically formulated to help burn fat.
- Grapefruit is a catalyst that starts fat burning. Do not change the amount of grapefruit.
- One cup of coffee can be consumed at each meal.
- No snacking.
- Butter can be used.
- Do not eat desserts, breads, white vegetables, or sweet potatoes.
- Do eat meats and vegetables.
- Eating more will actually result in more weight loss.
- Follow the diet for 12 days, skip two days, then start again.
- Grapefruit comes before every meal – ฝ fruit or 18 ounces of the juice.
