Paul Frank, Obey And Volcom Clothing
There have been a number great skate and surf clothing lines in 2008 and the ‘08 Winter range is looking to end the year with with a bang. Volcom, Paul Frank and Obey are 3 clothes companies that have been constant through out 2008. Each clothing company has made the press at some point this year with either new brand directions or innovative looks. Here are some product reviews of some of the best the Autumn and Winter lines have to offer.
Volcom is a designer, marketer and distributor of extreme sportswear clothing, footwear, accessories and related products. Aside from this they also endorse professional sports stars as well as owning skate parks. Volcom Clothing includes the Volcom Snow, Stone, Girls, Organic and Creedler ranges all of which consist of the typical Volcom t-shirts, jeans, jackets, sweatshirts and hooded sweatshirts. The new Autumn/Winter ‘08 collection is sure to fly off the hangers with great garments like the Neck Gator Snood, Neuron Bobble beanie hats, Jamie Lynn Pro Shell Snowboard coat and accessories like the Volcom Organic V Co sock, which is made totally from organic materials. The Volcom Clothing range of snow and streetwear is sure to be a safe bet if you want to look stylish in the snow this winter.
The Paul Frank Autumn and Winter 2008 line is as broad and varied as usual. The range features the Julius the Monkey logo along with his friends printed on to most of the Paul Frank clothing and accessories. There are some great new heavy metal inspired t-shirt prints like the Metal God short sleeve tee, Smashing Pete short sleeve t-shirt and the Misfits inspired Julius and Friends Skull Decay hoody featuring Julius as Glen Danzig. There is also Small Paul, a range of clothing, accessories and toys for young children. The range has the usual selection of t-shirts and trousers but also has plush toys of Paul Frank characters like Julius, Bob and Worry Bear. Paul Frank are also known for their men and women’s vintage watches. The Freedom of Choice, Patrol, Workin in a Coalmine and That’s Pep watches are prime examples of this.
The Obey Clothing Autumn 2008 line features the limited edition Public Enemy X Obey tee and the M-65 coat, both of which are compiled of Public Enemy art. The ladies line of Obey clothing features a line of skinny jeans called Kinky Love IV and Wild Side. The Kinky Love IV skinny jeans have colourful block prints while the Wild Side skinny jeans have leopard print styles. Shepard Fairey and the Obey Clothing team have done a great job this year, with some high profile clothing designs and street art being seen all over the world. Obey are sure to make more news in 2009 after a very prolific year for the clothing brand.
